1. These terms

These terms apply when you play a game made by Gold Tower Games, including Navy & Brass, or use goldtowergames.com or navyandbrass.com. Gold Tower Games is a sole proprietorship registered in British Columbia, Canada ("we", "us"). By playing, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not play.

If you are under the age of majority where you live, please read these terms with a parent or guardian and play with their permission.

2. Playing our games

Our games are free to play. We give you a personal, non-commercial right to play them in your browser, on our sites or on the game portals where we publish them. We keep improving our games, so features, balance and content will change. We may pause or end the online service, for example for maintenance, and we cannot promise it will always be available or free of bugs.

3. Fair play and conduct

When you play, you agree not to:

• cheat, use bots or automation, or change the game's code or your game record to gain an advantage;
• exploit a bug on purpose instead of reporting it to us;
• attack, overload or try to get unauthorised access to our servers;
• choose a captain name or send messages that are hateful, harassing, sexual, threatening, or that pretend to be someone else, including us; or
• use the game to break the law.

We may rename a captain, reset a game record that was changed unfairly, or block access to the online game for anyone who breaks these rules.

4. Doubloons and in-game items

Doubloons, trinkets, flags, ships, badges and other items you earn in our games are part of the game. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and may not be sold or traded outside the game. We may adjust them, for example to correct an error or after a balance change. If we ever offer anything for sale, the price and any extra terms will be shown to you before you buy.

5. Our work

Our games, their code, art, writing, music and names belong to Gold Tower Games or to the artists who license their work to us. Apart from the right to play in section 2, these terms give you no rights in them. You may not copy, re-host, sell or redistribute our games, or make altered versions of them, without our written permission.

6. Videos and streams

You are welcome to record, stream and share videos of yourself playing our games, including on monetized channels. Please do not present the game as your own, and do not use our logos in a way that suggests we made or endorse your video.

7. Feedback

If you send us ideas or feedback, you agree that we may use them to improve our games without owing you anything.

8. Game portals

When you play on a portal such as CrazyGames, the portal's own terms also apply to your use of the portal, including any account and any advertising it shows.

9. No warranty

Our games are provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises about them beyond those in these terms, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost data or lost time. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that the law does not allow us to limit.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as our games change. We will post the new version here with a new date. If you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If a dispute comes up, please write to us first and we will try to sort it out. Otherwise, the courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction, unless consumer law where you live gives you the right to go to your local courts.
